Walnut Creek to Balcones Park Trail Update

Here’s the latest regarding the Balcones Park portion of the Walnut Creek Greenbelt Trail. Public Works and Parks have agreed to redesign the main connection (10′ concrete shared use path) through the park, but will proceed with the alternate ADA access along Scribe (5′ sidewalk). This will hopefully keep most trail users in the Park as originally intended. Details for the redesign are forthcoming.

We are taking down the form to contact Council regarding the trail. Thanks to everyone who contacted Council to support the Neighborhood’s proposal!

NEW on Facebook! Check out the Milwood Marketplace!

A neighbor of yours just started a new FB that should be really useful:

  • Have something to sell? Need to borrow a tool or garden equipment? Don’t want to deal with Craigslist?

This is a group for neighbors in the Duval/Amherst/Parmer area.

If you own a business, feel free to post your contact info. Milwood is all about supporting our neighbors! But please be respectful and don’t clog the group with multiple posts or solicitations.

Just search for it within Facebook and ask to be added!
