City of Austin – pruning trees soon!

We received a letter from the City of Austin letting us know that they will soon be trimming and pruning tress away from high-voltage electric transmission lines. The letter states that they will make every effort to contact affected property owners to discuss the proposed work, and each property owner will receive a written Vegetation Work Plan to document the work. Work will be performed by the COA contractor Asplundh Tree.
If you have any questions about this process, you can contact the following people:

Carl Schattenberg, Utility Forester: 512-322-6931
Ray Henning, Line Clearance Supervisor: 512-322-6930

Crime Alert!

Four men were arrested early Monday morning after a very alert individual called APD to report men trying to break into cars on Wycliff. Police responded immediately and set a perimeter around the area. In addition to arresting all four, they recovered the stolen car they were in. APD did a great job! Please remind your neighbors to lock their cars and remove all valuables each night. And if you see something fishy, call 911 immediately.
