A few website changes

Here are a few changes to the milwoodna.com website:

  • A page has been added under the Neighborhood Tab for the Adelphi Acre Community Garden.  Learn all about this wonderful use of Public Works land in our neighborhood.
  • A Links tab has been added to the webpage that contains useful links for Milwood Residents (such as the facebook, nextdoor.com, Austin 311, Austin recycling, etc.)

Also, please remember to Contact Us if you want to participate in the neighborhood-wide garage sale on Saturday, October 19th.  The more address we have to showcase; the more shoppers we attract!

Walnut Creek to Balcones Park Trail Update

Here’s the latest regarding the Balcones Park portion of the Walnut Creek Greenbelt Trail. Public Works and Parks have agreed to redesign the main connection (10′ concrete shared use path) through the park, but will proceed with the alternate ADA access along Scribe (5′ sidewalk). This will hopefully keep most trail users in the Park as originally intended. Details for the redesign are forthcoming.

We are taking down the form to contact Council regarding the trail. Thanks to everyone who contacted Council to support the Neighborhood’s proposal!
