National Night Out is an annual event to promote neighborhood community and strengthen police/community relationships. Homes around the neighborhood are encouraged to host small block parties and make connections with their neighbors.

This is a great chance to get to know your neighbors better (or meet them for the first time!) and share contact info in case you ever need it. Studies show that one of the best crime prevention tools is simply knowing your neighbors.

There is still time to host. Sign up HERE. It’s easy, fun and worth it!

The addresses registered to hold a block party have been deleted.

So on Tuesday, Oct 1st, please turn on your porch lights, lock your doors and spend the evening outside with us. Thanks to all the hosts and participants. We hope to have a great showing this year!

Also consider printing out a few of the “5’s Sheets” below to help neighbors share contact information with each other. Knowing your five immediate neighbors (one on each side and the three across the street) is one of the best things you can do to protect against crime.
