Our Independence Day Parade & Picnic is fast approaching and fast growing! Last year we served more than 650+ plates. Therefore we ask our community businesses to consider helping us in exchange for great exposure and community building points!

Be a Supporter by Donating a Raffle Prize or Food:
• If you are a restaurant or grocery, in-kind food or beverage donations are much appreciated.
• Provide a prize for the raffle. All contributions over $30 can be included in the raffle with gratitude!

Be an Event Sponsor ($250+)!
• Get a Booth at the Event and walk in the parade
• Get your Logo on each of the 1700 flyers that go out to each doorstep in Milwood.
• Get your logo on the website, email, nextdoor and facebook page in prime placements.

All supporters will be listed on our website (1200+ users/mth), mentioned in a future email blast or two (1100+ emails) and on our facebook page (855+) and our nextdoor.com (1421+), and thanked multiple times at the event!

We will also have a table at the picnic designated for flyers and/or business cards to promote “Businesses in Our Backyard” and spread the word about your local business.

The planning is in full swing for our Annual Milwood & Walnut Crossing NA’s 4th of July Parade & Picnic! Our Neighborhood’s BIGGEST Event with over 550 attendees last year!

Join us for the next planning meeting THIS Monday, June 19 at 7:30pm at Silver Grill Cafe!

All are welcome to join! We are looking for volunteers, donations, sponsors and great ideas! If you think you might attend respond or email mnaboard@milwoodna.com so we can save you a seat (and make sure the meeting table is large enough.)

Please try to avoid Amherst on Saturday if possible. So we can give the seal coat time to set. Thanks!

It is with very heavy hearts that we share some extremely sad news. MNA’s very own, Tim McMullen – our photographer and consistent volunteer – passed away this weekend. We will miss his smile, sense of humor, and willingness to always lend a hand. The MNA board meetings won’t be the same without his wit and jokes. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11 am CST next Thursday, June 15 at Emmaus Catholic Parish in Lakeway, TX. Reception details will be posted as soon as possible. There will be a carpool set up if anyone would like to join please pm or email mnaboard@milwoodna.com
