Milwood Neighborhood Art Day – Sat. Nov. 13 from 10am to 4pm

Walk, bike or drive to see some real talent right in our own neighborhood. This time we will have some group areas (including the Texan Mart shopping center) so you can visit more than one artist in the same stop. In addition to art, there will be food, music and other creative endeavors. The weather looks to be a perfect fall day, so get out and have some fun with your neighbors.

Locations for Art Stops, Food, and Live Performances have been deleted.

It’s My Park Day at Balcones Park 2021

It’s My Park Day at Balcones Park
Nov 6, Saturday – 9am to 11am

If you missed the sign-up for It’s My Park Day 2021 that’s ok! We would still love to see families, friends and neighbors grab some gloves and trash bags on their own and go to Balcones Park for some trash pick up any time this coming weekend, especially Saturday morning.

Our lovely park is in much need of a good clean-up!

Additional Special Call Out for a Truck: We are also looking for someone that has a truck that could help us remove some dumpings in the neighborhood and bring them to the park dumpster anytime prior to 11am on Saturday. It should be short and easy. If you can help with this please email to milwoodna1 (at) gmail.com.

Call Out for Volunteer Hours for Adelphi Acre Gardens: Our friends at Adelphi Acre Gardens have the opportunity to get a Neighborhood Partnering Program (NPP) in-kind volunteer grant to improve the garden, which requires 100 volunteer hours. So if you plan to volunteer at an IMPD event please sign in below so they can use your hours towards their goal! They would be so thankful!

A Few Asks to help Adelphi Acre get Volunteer Hours:
1. Make sure to sign in on this form HERE with info on where you completed your hours and the time worked so they can put it towards their grant.
2. Sign the waiver and drop off at the garden box outside the Adelphi Acre gate or email to milwoodna1 (at) gmail.com
3. Share the word!

Join the Facebook event to get a friendly reminder!
