Want to clean up and beautify Balcones Park? Come join neighbors and park lovers on March 7, 2026 to help with the following activities.
1- Cleanup trash/litter in Balcones Park, along trails and in creek greenbelt.
2- Focused cleanup of abandoned encampment areas in the park
3 – Trail maintenance/erosion repairs – Creekside Trail, Northern Walnut Creek Trail near bridge
Optional items – we are looking for leaders to take on these additional projects – contact MNA if you are interested even if you don’t have experience, we can get you up to speed before the event!
4 – Tree weeding and mulching around parking lot
5 – Butterfly Meadow and Rain Garden planting, maintenance (if anyone has native flowering plant e.g. coneflower, salvia coccinea, wine cups, columbine, etc. please email us)
6 – Invasive Species Removal
