Many people have signed up for the neighborhood-wide garage sale by contacting us through our website. However, a few have neglected to include their actual street address, and reply emails went unanswered (or bounced back). If you’re not sure if you included your address, please resend the information through our website.
Thanks!
Serendipity!! While you get rid of your stuff at your garage sale, there will be a collection site at Summitt Elementary to drop off your Electronics from 9a-1p. Lighten up, Milwoodians!
Sorry folks! The Clean Sweep Event must be cancelled. Due to a lack of response from the event organizers and the abundance of poison ivy in potential cleanup areas, the Clean Sweep event has been cancelled. If you know of an area that is in need of clean up, please email us and we will check it out.
Today, Google officially announced their intentions to offer super-fast internet to the city of Austin (over 100 times faster than the fasted current internet connection speeds). Google Fiber, as a the system is known, was first offered in Kansas City, and Austin will be only the 2nd city to obtain the new service. Anyone that is interested in obtaining this new service is encouraged to visit https://fiber.google.com/cities/austin to sign up for more information. According to Google, the neighborhoods that show the most interest (through signing up) will be the first to receive access to the new service.
What is Google Fiber?
Google Fiber is a ultra high-speed broadband network that offers Internet connection at 1 gigabit per second. The average Internet connection in the U.S. is 6.7 megabites per second; the Google Fiber connection is up to 1,000 megabites per second, so more than 100 times faster than the typical U.S. connection.
