Things are coming together nicely for the community garden in our neighborhood (see www.adelphiacre.org to learn more).
We need a Garden Coordinator to join our volunteer Steering Committee and help the Garden become a reality.
Responsibilities of this volunteer position include:
· Coordinates and Supervises work days, maintenance, etc.
· Oversees volunteer projects, coordinates with the Volunteer Coordinator
· Maintains list of Plot assignments and waiting lists
· Provides orientation and guidance to new Gardeners/Members, collects and enforces Gardener’s Rules Agreements
· Maintains list of approved seed vendors, coordinates periodic group purchases of seed, and approves any variances for special plants.
Experienced and or Master Gardeners are highly desired for this position. Remember that you will have a team of Steering Committee members on hand to organize resources for necessary projects and a garden full of volunteers!
