If you like fresh organic fruits and vegetables, you’re in luck. An organic grower, Miguel, will be setting up shop in the Texan Mart parking lot every Saturday from 9am-1pm, corner of Amherst and Adelphi. Miguel’s farm is in Blue Texas, near Lexington, and he has stated that all of their produce is organically grown. If business is good he hopes to bring in a few other organic growers to provide a wider variety.
I’ve talked with a few neighbors who have bought from Miguel and so far reaction has been positive. We bought a watermelon from him this past Saturday, and it was delicious. So, if you’re interested in fresh vegetables and fruits this may be an option worth looking into.
