The city arborist came out and spoke to about 20 people on oak wilt. I thought it was useful as much for folks who needed to take some preventative actions as those who didn’t: one neighbor learned they were outside of the area where they needed to treat for several years, and another learned that his tree could not get oak wilt and instead had a form of fungus (who knew trees were so high maintenence!) We’ll continue to stay on top of city interactions, attempt to get the city to consider a more proactive approach to this issue, and keep you informed.
