Home for the Holidays – December 15th

Milwood Neighbors Helping the Capital Area Food Bank and Austin Literacy! Sponsored by the Milwood Neighborhood Association.

Come to the annual Home for the Holidays event on Dec. 15th from 12-3 at our Milwood Library! It’s a come and go event full of browsing at the Library Book Sale and crafting at the open house. We will have goodies, crafts, holiday music and be collecting canned and non-perishable items for the Capital Area Food Bank. Their supplies are low this year! Also, you can purchase books to be donated to Austin Literacy. Needless to say, any cash donations for either cause will also be accepted.

Bring your kids for some holiday cheer! For volunteering opportunities, call Ryan Lanier at 799-7994 and she will put you to work!

The Domain celebrates the holidays

If you were like me this past weekend you may have wondered what all the noise was Saturday night around 8pm. If you walked outside to find out what was going on and were in the right spot you may have seen the fireworks overhead. Seems like our new neighbors down at The Domain are kicking off the holiday season with a bang this year.

From their website,

Throughout the holidays, enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides under the lights, story-time with Santa on the weekends, special holiday performances and a spectacular fireworks display every Saturday night.
