National Public Lands Day 2014

Register now to volunteer with Austin Parks Foundation and Texas Conservation Corps for National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on Saturday, September 27.

Volunteers can choose from one of 36 projects at parks across Austin. All volunteers are invited to join us for a Volunteer Appreciation Party to be held after the projects: Lunch, ice-cold beverages and a chance to win a pair of 3-day Austin City Limits passes! Most projects start at 9 AMand finish by noon, but some start and finish times will vary.

And to top it all off, volunteers will get a limited-edition NPLD t-shirt (design pictured to the left). Join us in making a difference and giving back to our parks!

Fall General Membership Meeting

It’s time to come together as a community!

Fall MNA General Meeting @ 7pm – Milwood library – Wed., Sept 24th

Please let us know what you would like to discuss or learn or plan about at YOUR neighborhood association’s meeting.  Milwood can only improve with YOUR input!

What gets you “fired up” when you think about your neighborhood?  What do you want to do to make it better??

We are looking for some NEW ENERGY for the MNA board!  It’s a low-commitment, high-community building thing to add to your life.  We are holding elections at the upcoming meeting and would LOVE to meet you!

Make sure you are getting our emails by subscribing at www.milwoodna.com
