Interesting changes are ahead for the Interchange at Parmer and MoPac which are intended to loosen the knot we all know is there at the end of the day. This project was authorized when the toll road eliminated an exit north of Parmer, is currently in progress, and will be ongoing for 18 months.
Highlights:
– A two lane exit off of MoPac north onto Parmer frontage (one lane now)
– A new circulator lane entering Mopac southbound
– Widening north and south frontage
– 2 turn lanes from Parmer bridge onto frontage
– Widening bridge to add a lane in each direction
– Reengineering of median between Amherst and Parmer
– Widening of Parmer from Amherst to MoPac
